Pippi Longstocking is the prime character in a series of children's books by Astrid Lindgren, a Swedish author who first published the series in 1945. This girl has grown in popularity and the books have spawned several cartoon features, a TV series and even a movie. Pippi has superhuman strength, and usually reserves her anger and in-your-face behavior for the worst unkind adults. Like Peter Pan, she does not want to grow up. She is one of Vicky's favorite fictional character's and today, when Andi's hair was braided in similar fashion, we all remembered Pippi Longstocking! After all, aside from the braided hair, Andi is also the girl with fast hands, super strength (can demolish anything in her grasp), and also remains a little girl & doesn't grow up!Sunday, December 4, 2011
