Songs for a Pensive Mood

Some songs make you pause what you are doing, and automatically, you step back to savor the music and lyrics.  Some inspire you, or make you cry.  Some drive you into a melancholy trance, while others make you relive bittersweet memories.  Most of these songs are difficult to sing, maybe a succession of high notes, or sometimes long protracted chords.  Most of the songs are typically sung with closed eyes, clenched fists or hands outstretched in the air.  These are haunting songs, songs I listen to when I am in a pensive mood.  I listen well, I think better.  This is my list, in no particular order:
