Passion
A balikbayan friend of Vicky treated us to dinner last night at the Passion restaurant of the Resorts World Casino in front of the NAIA Terminal 3. We started off with a variety of Chinese cold cuts, and we enjoyed the roasted pork skin, which was almost as crispy as chicharon. The prawn salad had a nice contrasting effect on the palate--hot fried prawns in crunchy wrap prawn was topped with cucumber, mangoes & carrot and sweet mayo. The beef & radish hot pot was tasteful, the polonchay cooked with red eggs & century eggs was delicious (I finished the soupy-sauce). To top the meal, we had steamed lapu-lapu which was so flavorful that I ended up taking on the best part--the tail and the head! Went around the shops after that; the brand names were all there--Ferragamo, Bulgari, Furla, among others. Got back home almost midnight, with a big tummy at that!
