Golden Leaf

Dining out with Kong and Gwammy is always a nice experience.  Their lunch treat this time was at the Golden Leaf Chinese restaurant along Roces Avenue in Quezon City.  Once we sat down, we had some sugar cane juice to refresh ourselves (they sell this by the liter);  while Monique just had a few gulps, Andi simply loved this and asked for more!  As hunger started to set in, we pigged-out on an array of dishes--

From top to bottom: various appetizers (consisting of roasted pork, jellyfish, century egg, soy chicken and cold beef jerky), polonchay with shrimp, pancit Canton, lechon Macau (the skin was quite crunchy), various dimsum items (including chicken feet, siomai, shark fin dumplings and hakaw), deep-fried spicy squid, diced chicken with cashew nuts and the ever-present dried fish fried rice!  Utterly delightful--what else can I say?

The restaurant interiors were simple but tastefully done.  For bigger groups, they have 3 function rooms which can accommodate some 35-40 people in total.  Our bill came to around P500 per head, which is quite reasonable for casual dining.  Service was good; we came out with smiles on our faces.
