Wendy's Frosty Treats

It's funny that while Wendy's is known as a burger place, I'm filing this article under ice cream.  Simply put, I'm not that much of a fan of their burgers--acceptable, albeit on the dry side.  I also feel that the bread would be somewhat crumbly--I like chewy bread on burgers.  In the late eighties, the store was known for their grab-all-you-can-on-one-pass salad buffets--we would pile the veggies up and stack 'em up  all the way to staircase heaven!  They discontinued the concept though, apparently they lost money on it in the Philippine market.  Their frosty treats, however, is a totally different story.  Among the fast food stores, this is probably the best-tasting ice cream you can find--available in both vanilla and chocolate, around P80 for a 16 ounce cup.  The ice cream is creamy and does not carry the powdery feel typical of reconstituted soft ice cream.  Flavorful, without being too sweet, this will probably give Dairy Queen a run for its money!
