I was thinking out aloud about which music artists would represent certain generations, and here is my thinking--

1950s          Elvis Presley


1960s          The Beatles


1970s           Donna Summer


1980s           Michael Jackson


1990s           Madonna


2000s          Lady Gaga


I know there are a thousand and one alternatives, but I guess these people impressed a stamp on my musical consciousness!
