Over the weekend, Monique attended a birthday lunch for a classmate at the Shangri-la Mall. While waiting for here, Vicky and I decided to have lunch at Lemongrass, a restaurant located at the ground floor serving Asian fare. I understand that the dishes are mainly Thai, punctuated with Filipino, Vietnamese and Chinese favorites. A lot of the dishes use lemongrass as an ingredient, and the food comes out hot and well prepared.
The interiors were quite cozy, and despite the fact that the shop is located right along the busy corridor leading to the entrance/exit of the mall, we didn't feel the mad rush of people streaming in and out of the door. We felt welcome as we sat down, perhaps due to the pleasant disposition of the lady maitre d' who explained the menu and kitchen concept in detail.
Lunch was light--we opted to share misua (thin rice noodles) soup and the oriental baby back, which was soft, flavorful and roasted juicy. We spent something like P300 per head, and this was money well spent for home-style comfort food.
